Week 7 - Moge Tee

This week, a completely new bubble tea store! A great way to wrap up the blog as well. Moge Tee was recently opened on Green Street and this was the first time I ever went to it. My first impressions were really good! The place was clean and had a pretty, aesthetic to it. While the line was pretty long, the wait was actually not that bad. The menu was full of items that were new to me but I decided to keep it simple and get a traditional milk tea with: 50% sugar, no ice, and tapioca (you know the order by now).

Now, to be honest, I was kind of disappointed. The pictures had looked great and the tea itself wasn't that bad, but the boba was MUSHY. Overcooked and fell apart in my mouth. While I enjoy soft and squishy boba, this was way overboard and it just tasted like mush. The only word that comes to mind is mush. I also tried some other drinks since I went with friends. One tea tasted like a flower (dandelion is what comes to mind) and the strawberry smoothie with red bean was actually delicious.

Overall, the price point for this place was normal and the biggest perk I saw was that the wait was pretty short for even long lines. I would recommend getting some of the more unconventional flavors since that seems to be their strength and steer away from the milk teas.

I give Moge Tee: 8.2/10

  1. I am very sorry that the boba was mushy. I feel as though this is almost poetic. With such a lovely exterior, one would hope the interior taste would match, but we are often disappointed by things we judged solely by their appearances. Great work!
